Henkel Re-New 2.0

RE-NEW 2.0 is a water-based, single-component silicone presented in a specially designed 80 ml plastic tube. This formulation is tailored for the renovation of silicone joints within households. With its tubular design, the silicone cures at room temperature, offering easy application and correction on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

  • Henkel Adhesive Technologies, a leader in adhesives and coatings, introduces the "Henkel RE" range. This redesigned line prioritizes innovation for both industrial and consumer applications, emphasizing environmental friendliness and precision. Committed to the circular economy, Henkel RE products are designed to be recyclable in both packaging and ingredients.

  • The Bag On Valve barrier packaging technology simplifies the application of joint repair silicone, ensuring a clean end result. It offers several advantages:

    • Leaves no sticky or messy residue in the surroundings.

    • Facilitates multiple uses without residue adherence.

    • Requires no additional equipment or extra assistance.

    This innovative 5-piece packaging solution comprises an ergonomic accordion-sided bottle for even and continuous dispensing, a multilayer laminate bag, a 2K dispensing and smoothing cap for uniform distribution, and a closure.

SOUDAL PU Foam Components

  • In collaboration with product manufacturers, we've devised multiple solutions to tackle this challenge. Our breakthrough Trigger hand adaptor, represents a significant stride forward. This development enhances the dispensing and application of PU foam, presenting notable advantages for everyday use.

  • Upon removing the bottle's protective cap, the adaptor easily attaches to the valve through a simple snap-on mechanism. Our patented membrane geometry turns the adaptor into a lever, activating the bottle's built-in valve and directing the material through the applicator tube.

    Control the foam spread direction effortlessly with the adjustable applicator tube, which can be shortened based on user preferences. Distinguishing itself from other products, the Trigger adaptor includes a safety stop that must be removed before use, minimizing the risk of accidental activation.

Polyurethane (PU) foam, renowned for its exceptional thermal and sound insulation, stands as a top choice in construction industry materials, especially when packaged in aerosol bottles. Despite its widespread use, dispensing poses challenges, with the material's tendency to bind and dry within the bottle, hindering the smooth and cost-efficient application.

Standing Seam Roofclips

The Kalzip E clip is a seam roof clip featuring a mold made from polyamide on an aluminum-zinc coated steel plate. The integration of a plastic layer serves a dual purpose. Not only does it provide structural support, but it also introduces a thermal insulation effect.

This innovative design effectively prevents the formation of thermal bridges, enhancing the overall efficiency and performance of the Kalzip E clip in roofing applications.

  • In this project we opted for overmoulding, where a base material, which can be metal or plastic, is combined with another material using a special machine. The second material, often elastomer or thermoplastic, makes the product better by providing a :

    • stronger grip

    • better insulation

    • aesthetic appearance

    When making seam roof clips, there are different ways like 3D printing or insert moulding, but using a metal frame with overmoulding is a smart choice. It makes the product stronger while keeping the good qualities of plastic and is also more cost-effective compared to making the entire product from metal.

  • In our production process, operators position the completed metal frames onto a conveyor rail, transporting them to the robotic station. Previously handled manually, optical inspection has been automated on our robotic production line. The robotic system conducts checks for the presence of the head plate and identifies any deformations.

    Subsequently, the robot positions the metal frame into the injection mould, and after the overmoulding process, it places the finished product onto the ejection slide. The final step involves a thorough quality check by an operator to guarantee the delivery of only flawless products.

GENIUS Integrated Hand Adaptor

Developed for a leading PU foam manufacturer, this product aims to provide hobby users with the advantages of foam guns. DIY and non-professional users typically rely on disposable cans of PU foam, which often come in low-cost packaging. Dispensing the self-expanding polyurethane foam from the bottle typically requires the use of both hands, which can be inconvenient when installing windows, door frames, or filling cavities while also holding an object.

  • To solve the above-mentioned challenges, we have designed an applicator that features

    • Ease of use with one hand only,

    • 360° rotatibility,

    • Stop and go application – usability multiple times.

    Apart from these benefits, the manufacturer preferred a product closure that

    • Includes two wrapped protection gloves inside,

    • Features a warranty lock to prevent accidental dispensing.
